On Wednesday, January 30, 2013 the city council, staff and engineering consultant held a workshop meeting at the public works facility. The public works department and engineers presented a proposed Capital Improvement Plan to include: Streets, Water and Sewer. The plan shows projects that will start in 2014 ending in 2030 with a total estimated cost of $8,000,000. Since some of the city water mains were constructed in the early 1960’s and are cast iron these are the first on the list for replacement. The city has some old sanitary sewer mains that are clay which will not all be replaced but lined. map No action was taken at this time.
