RECREATIONAL FIRE POLICY
Definition:
"Recreational Fire" means the burning of wood in an enclosed
area.
Limits
and Conditions of the "Recreational Fire Policy"
1. The
fire must be contained in an area no larger then four feet (4') in diameter and
three feet (3') in height.
2. This area must encompass one of the
following materials; rock, metal or concrete.
3. Only
burning of wood is allowed in the recreational fire area. The burning of brush, leaves, yard waste and
any other materials are strictly prohibited.
4. The recreational fire area must be
located forty feet (40') away from any structure.
5. Fire-extinguishing
equipment, such as buckets, shovels or garden hoses shall be readily available
for use at recreational fires.
6. Recreational
fires shall be constantly attended by a person knowledgeable in the use of
fire-extinguishing equipment. An
attendant must supervise a recreational fire until such fire has been
extinguished.
