Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker

The City of Rockford is recruiting for a Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker from mid May through August. Minimum requirements are 18 years of age and a valid driver’s license.  Previous experience in lawn care desired but not required.  Pay is $10 – $12 per hour depending on qualifications.

Application Instructions:  To apply, please submit a Completed City Employment Application and Veteran’s Preference Form to City Hall:  6031 Main Street, Rockford, MN  55373 by Monday, March 26, 2018.

Depositing snow on to any city street is a violation.

It is unlawful to place snow onto ANY city, township, county or state road.  Doing so is a violation of Minnesota Statue 160.  It is also a violation of  the City of Rockford’s Ordinance #901.04 (22) Throwing, placing or depositing dirt., sand, leaves, trash, lawn clippings, weeds, grass, SNOW or other materials in the streets, sidewalks, other public ways and the gutters thereof.  Please store or remove your snow properly.

Commission Openings: Park & Recreation

There will be openings for three-year terms beginning January 2018 for P&R.

Snow Season Parking started Tuesday, November 1, 2017

During the period from November 1st to April 1st it shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle on or within six feet of the roadway between the hours of 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. and anytime after there has been ice accumulation, continuous or intermittent snow fall during which there has been accumulation of two inches or more of snow on any street until plowed or removed the whole width of the roadway. Vehicles parked in violation of this ordinance will be towed and stored at the owner’s expense. At NO TIME shall a vehicle be parked on ANY street for more than twelve (12) hours.

 

SNOW REMOVAL—It is unlawful to deposit snow onto ANY city, township, county or state road. Doing so is a violation of state statue and you will be fined.
