The Rockford Fire Department says thank you to everyone who donated toys for the toy drive this year. The girl scouts helped wrap toys last weekend and local families were able to receive several gifts. There were toys left over that were donated to the KARE11 Toys for Tots. Mariah Schmit did a great job coordinating the toy drive this year! Thank you to all of the fire department, the girls scouts and the community for their support. NEW – Christmas Tree Disposal

For a fee of $5.00 residents can set their Christmas tree out with their garbage (not in the can) on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 and Waste Management will dispose of the tree. 

Some apartments and the mobile home parks would not be eligible, since Waste Management may not be your garbage provider and/or they would not know who to bill.  If you have any questions, please contact Audra at City Hall (763) 477-6565.

Rockford recognized the local manufacturer’s at a breakfast at DRC. All of the businesses were presented with a certificate of appreciation. DRC took the group on a tour of their facility after the breakfast.
