Parade starts at 10:00 am in front of the Rockford Middle School on Ash Street.

Navy Memorial at Crow River (Bridge St and Mechanic St) at approximately 10:15am.

Memorial Service at Elmwood Cemetery (Maple Street) at approximately 10:30am.

 

Lion’s Pork Chop Dinner at Riverside Park – 8220 Elm Street, starting at 11am until sold out!

Historic Stork House Pie & Ice Cream Social – 8131 Bridge Street, 11-3pm.

United Presbyterian Church Open House – 6301 Maple Street, approximately 10am-11:30am

Important Information Regarding Property Assessments

This may affect your 2019 property taxes.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization for the City of Rockford, Wright and Hennepin County, Minnesota will meet on Tuesday, the 10th day of April, 2018 at 6pm at City Hall in the Council Chambers at 6031 Main Street, Rockford.  The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor.

If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your county assessor’s office to discuss your concerns.  If you disagree with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization.  The board will review your assessments and may make corrections as needed.  Generally, you must appeal to the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization before appealing to the County Board of Appeal and Equalization.

Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker

The City of Rockford is recruiting for a Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker from mid May through August. Minimum requirements are 18 years of age and a valid driver’s license.  Previous experience in lawn care desired but not required.  Pay is $10 – $12 per hour depending on qualifications.

Depositing snow on to any city street is a violation.

It is unlawful to place snow onto ANY city, township, county or state road.  Doing so is a violation of Minnesota Statue 160.  It is also a violation of  the City of Rockford’s Ordinance #901.04 (22) Throwing, placing or depositing dirt., sand, leaves, trash, lawn clippings, weeds, grass, SNOW or other materials in the streets, sidewalks, other public ways and the gutters thereof.  Please store or remove your snow properly.
