Roles and Responsibilities

Rockford’s Finance Department is responsible for the collection and management of revenue, expenditures, and the investment of municipal funds. The department works with the City Council and Administration to prepare annual city budgets and financial reports. The department is also responsible for:

• Accounting & auditing
• Cash management
• Special assessments
• Utility billing
